Hip-hop pioneers The Sugarhill Gang are back on the road, bringing their iconic old-school energy across the globe to celebrate decades of legendary hip-hop history.
The Sugarhill Gang tour kicks off on May 21, 2026, hitting the United States and the United Kingdom. The group will bring their timeless sound to major cities including Bend, Detroit, Fontana, San Diego, and Birmingham. Along the way, they will share the stage with legendary artists, teaming up with Kool and the Gang, performing with The Furious Five, and joining the Jokes Jazz & Jams and ART OF RAP tour lineups.
Outside regular concert venues, they are also scheduled for a special festival appearance at Splendour in Nottingham.

About The Sugarhill Gang
The Sugarhill Gang, formed in Englewood, New Jersey in 1979, are pioneers of old-school hip-hop. Their style fused rapping with disco, funk and soul, most famously in “Rapper’s Delight,” which was the first rap single to reach the US Top 40 and is preserved in the Library of Congress. Other hits include “Apache,” “8th Wonder,” and “Showdown.” They reformed in the ’90s; their last major release is the 2025 compilation “Essential Cuts.” They've won honours like induction into Camden’s Music Walk of Fame and a Grammy Hall of Fame award.
